How large are the beds?
The beds in all apartments are queen size.
When were the apartments renovated?
All apartments have been renovated over the past five years to the highest standards.
What items are included in the furnished apartments?
All items found in a modern home including furniture, TVs, dishes, cookware, linens, bedding, towels, artwork, and small appliances
What items do I need to bring?
Your clothes, cell phone, laptop, any consumables (food, soap, laundry detergent, etc..)
How long are the leases?
Leases can be written to any number of calendar months desired, with a minimum of 2 months. Generally our leases are 2-6 months, but we have written leases as long as three years.
How clean are the apartments?
All apartments are fully deep cleaned prior to your arrival. Cleaning services are not provided during your stay.
How close are you to downtown?
We are exactly 15 blocks from downtown Chicago. You can get there by subway or bus in about 20 minutes. Or bike in 15 minutes. Or walk in 35 minutes.
How close are you to the airports?
We are 30-60 minutes from either O'Hare or Midway, depending on traffic. You can get there by subway & bus in about 60 minutes or Uber in 30 minutes.
What appliances are in the kitchens?
All major appliances are in the kitchens. These include oven/range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave.
How safe is the neighborhood?
We are in a safer neighborhood of Chicago. But, unfortunately there are incidents everywhere and no neighborhood is perfectly safe in Chicago.
What about parking?
We have seven on-site garage parking spaces. If available, parking is provided at an additional monthly cost. Getting to the garage takes less than a minute from any apartment.
Is there a move-in fee? Credit fee?
There is not a move-in or credit fee.
What utilities are included in the rent?
Utilities included are gas/electric (heat/air), water, trash, sewer, wifi internet, Roku streaming TV. The apartments do not include landline phone service.
What about wi-fi internet?
High speed wireless internet is provided through Comcast. We do not allow gaming so this allows a better work-from-home experience.
What about cable? TV?
We do not have cable service. TV service is either over-the-air "free" TV with the major broadcast channels, or Roku streaming internet TV.
What about laundry?
The larger 2 bedroom apartments and coach houses have in-unit laundry. The studios and 1 bedroom apartments have easy access to non-coin machines outside of their units.
What about heat/air conditioning?
Every apartment has tenant controlled heat/air. So each resident controls the temperature they desire inside of their own apartment.
Tell us about the neighboorhood?
You can walk to everything. Multiple grocery stores are just a few blocks away. There is a 24 hour Starbucks, 24 hour Walgreens, and almost-24 hour McDonalds about a block away. We are 4 blocks from the North Ave. beach and 2 blocks from the start of Lincoln Park. The Old Town neighborhood is filled with lots of bars and restaurants. The Second City and Zanies comedy clubs are just a block away.
Are there any gyms nearby?
There are four different gyms within 2-4 blocks, plus several speciality botique yoga, pilates, and cycling studios.
How close are you to the lake?
We are four blocks from North Ave. beach.
How close are you to the subway system?
We are four blocks from a red line station (Clark/Division) and four blocks from a brown line station (Sedgwick). It takes 7 minutes to walk to either station.
Can I easily use my bike?
We are close to the lakefront bike path and the Lincoln Park bike paths. Wells and Clark streets have dedicated bike paths to downtown.
How long has the ownership been in place?
The owners have owned and managed the property for 20 years and have had over 700 guests during this timeframe. The owners live at the property and are around to resolve any issues that many arise from time-to-time.
